Buy Authentic Luxury Ebel Swiss Fashion Watches For Men And Women From An Authorized Online Retailer At Discount Prices
Luxury Swiss watch maker Ebel has been making distinctive watches since 1911. It even makes the watch movements in-house, which is something few watch making rivals manage. The Ebel watch designers have been creating luxury watches with a passion since it was founded in 1911 by Eugene Blum and Alice Levy. Ebel watch dials come in a choice of mother of pearl, silver or black and there is also a choice of face shape with a clear, easy to read square option. As seen in the adverts where Gisele Bundchen writhed seductively on a bed for Craig McDean, the new Ebel Beluga watch is as glamorous as it gets. No wonder Ebel describes itself as the Swiss watch company who are the Architect of Time. "It was such a pleasure to be involved with such a great watch brand and to work with the amazing, beautiful Gisele Bundchen," says McDean of the photo shoot. In 2007, Ebel launched the 1911 Discovery watch collection, a range of sports chronographs for men and women, featuring chunky cases, an automatic movement and ultra-readable displays.

Eugène Blum and his wife Alice Levy, founded the Ebel Watch Company in 1911. The name is an acronym of the first letters of their names. Ebel launched its first wristwatch in 1912, and won the Gold Medal at the Swiss National Exhibition in Bern in 1914. In 1925, Ebel won the Grand Prize at the Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris. During World War II, Ebel was the official supplier of watches for the British Army. In 1964, Ebel won the Grand Prize at the Swiss National Exhibition in Lausanne for its Lune Etoilee. Ebel launched it popular Sport Classic line in 1977. 1983 saw the launch of the Perpetual Calender Chronograph. In 1985, Ebel launched the Beluga line of watches, which are made exclusively in gold. In 1993, Ebel launched the Sportwave line of watches, for which the company is most known, and in 1995 Ebel launched the Ebel Automatic Chronograph Calender. In 2002, Ebel expanded the Beluga range, with the introduction of the Beluga Tonneau line. The year 2005 saw major expansion of the Ebel watch range with the introduction of th Ebel Classic and Ebel 1911 lines.
Very well respected within the watch making industry, Ebel's watches from the 1920's, 30's, and on through the 1960's show solid, if unexceptional, design and production quality. This continued until the arrival in 1969 of Pierre-Alain Blum, son of Charles-Eugene and grandson of company founders Eugène Blum and his wife Alice Levy. An unfortunate accident forced the senior Blum to withdraw from active running of the family enterprise, and Pierre-Alain was thrust into the senior management role. He brought ever increasing revenue and profits to the company. By 1975, he'd bought the whole Ebel watch making company from his father. What followed was one of the major success stories of the Swiss Watch industry, a story that paralleled the roller coaster ride of that industry as it was devastated by the challenge of quartz.
